Good fit on my hard-to-fit foot May 28, 2008 e (Western Washington) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
My toes don't taper the way most people's toes taper--mine are more square, and I also have a high instep and a wide-ish foot. This makes it difficult to find a shoe that fits well. These fit well. My toes aren't too squished, and my pinky toes don't squeeze through the strap. The back strap does not rub on my heel either. The heel is high and fairly easy to walk in--certainly not a heel-toe stride--but not wobbly either. I'm no feather weight; and I was worried these would not support me well, but these shoes do a fine job of supporting my foot. They are not super cushy, but they do not kill my feet either. I tolerate these very well. I have received many compliments on the shoe. These are much prettier on the foot than they appear in photographs. I got the beige. They are very light in color--almost a blonde--very springy/summery yet give good coverage. I wear them to the office with pants and they dress up the outfit but are still not too stuffy. I've worn them 2 to 3 times a week for almost a month, and I haven't ruined the heel yet (from using the gas pedal in the car). I really like these shoes!
Perfect! May 30, 2008 NB JC (Jersey City, NJ USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Very stylish and comfortable shoe -- an unusual combination! I always take fashion over comfort, but these are truly both. This is my first time buying a "comfort" brand, and I'm truly impressed. I ordered another pair of pumps by Clark's in the same order, and those weren't true to size at all, so be careful. These, however, are true to size.
Probably my favorite shoe August 29, 2008 CM 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love these shoes! I bought them in red first and found them to be SO comfortable and absolutely flattering on my big (size 11) feet that I immediately ordered them in black. I wear these at least once a week and get compliments on them every time I wear them. The heel is just under 3" but the shoe is easy to walk in and the footbed is very supportive and comfortable (I walk about 1/4 mile a day from bus to work). These look great with jeans as well as dress pants. Something to note - Clark shoes are very unpredictable on width. I found that these run slightly to significantly wider than some Clark's I've tried.
Fantastic Walking Shoe July 19, 2009 sammuthk0 (Mountain View, Ca) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've walked in these all over New York which is blocks and blocks of concrete, cobble and wooden planks and these shoes took it all with grace. They look fabulous day or night time. Wonderful for dancing, too! Got lots of compliments. What else can you ask of a shoe?!
...love these shoes! August 5, 2009 PK (Bakersfield, CA) I bought these in black patent leather at full price at a local shoe store and loved them! Imagine my surprise finding them online for less than half price...I then bought brown and plain black. I wear the patent leather so often, I thought it might be wise to buy a pair to put away for next year. I have a wider, square shaped foot with a high arch and most shoes hurt my toes. These shoes do not hurt my feet no matter how far I have to walk in them. I've never been able to wear a high heel before; these heels are sturdy and easy to walk in. The shoes seem to run true to size and the average width was perfect for my slightly wide foot. If you have narrow feet, average might be too wide. They are very sexy, feminine and extremely comfortable. Great shoe!
