Product Description Add simple style to your casual wardrobe with the Tahiti Soft Footbed sandal from Birkis. The Birko-Flor upper features a velour or faux nubuck finish for a fashionable touch. With an extra layer of padding to eliminate break-in time, a Birkis signature molded cork footbed offers shock absorption to avoid fatigue, and arch support for stability; plus, it conforms to your foot for support. Two slim adjustable straps provide the perfect fit.
Amazon.com Product Description Birki's Tahiti sandal, with its contoured suede footbed and foamy outsole, has the same easy feeling you've come to expect from this classic sandal, and it got a little extra fashion punch from the thinner suede and buckled straps lined with extra cozy felt-backed microfiber.

| Customer Reviews: So comfortable June 22, 2010 Janet H. Tenser (Hershey PA) The soft footbed means this Birki can be worn immediately with no "break in" period.
Sizing is not accurate June 25, 2009 nutznboltz (eastern seaboard) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a lovely sandal but beware of the sizing. I have returned a pair already. I was measured as a 39 for Birkis ( which I was told run longer than Birkenstock). Well, I found that this is not entirely true, especially if you order a soft footbed. Although I was measured for 39 ....I wear 9 US....I found it was too short to fit properly according to the Birkis suggestions on where heel and toes must go. So now I must reorder a size larger and hope that it's not a huge leap. Unfortunately you cannot order half sizes in this as that would probably be perfect.
Beware of the sizing.
wide toe box September 12, 2009 Amita B. Russell (drexel hill, pa United States) The front toe box seemed extra wide compared to my other pairs of Birkenstock's. Sizing down may have remedied this. Odd that size 40 has always fit except when it came to this style. Though the soft footbed seemed comfy, I kinda like breaking in my Brkenstocks. sent them back
Do you think Birkenstocks are ugly? May 3, 2010 L. J. Schrader (Manchester, NH) Just wait.
I have to admit that I knew I was not getting official, leather, expensive Birkenstocks, but I had expected better than what I got. The taupe Tahiti had a nice, soft bed, comfy on the foot...but I could not get past the cheesy appearance. Not only did they not resemble leather in any way (think cheap plastic purse material) but the suede bed was "ragged" for lack of a better term. The edges looked as if they were torn instead of cut precisely, with cheapest grade suede, and the cork bed looked like a cheap knockoff as well.
Had I paid a small amount for a "light" version of Birkenstocks I would not have been surprised, but for the price these just do not look up to par. I don't consider myself super picky, either. But, had I kept these and worn them I would not have been surprised if someone thought I got them in the Wal-Mart shoe department for $15.99.
Lesson learned. I will save my pennies for a leather pair of the best.
