This is my second pair of these sandals. They are very comfortable, even walking for long periods of time. The straps do not cut into your feet at all, and no part of the sandal creates blisters.
These sandals are incredibly durable. I have put them through much abuse, and yet they look nearly as they did when I got them. The leather seems to be scratch resistant, if not nearly scratch-proof.
I would advise against buying cheaper imitations from GAP, AE, etc. They are of cheaper build and will not last as long. Many imitations do not have the embedded cork which, I feel, is largely responsible for the comfort of these sandals.

I wish these cost less, they are so expensive but, you can't beat the comfort of the leather foot bed. No other sandal can equal the german craftmanship. They are great on hot summer days. I would own more of these if cheaper (like below $30) but, they are a luxury I enjoy.

My husband absolutely loves his two strap Birks...he refuses to wear anything else so I actually bought TWO pairs so he'd have an extra! Treat your feet and get yourself a pair!!!

My husband has plantars fasciitis and this is a shoe he has to wear around the house instead of a sandal or house shoe. It has very firm support and is a sturdy well made shoe.

The shipment was fast and packaged well, had to return this item because my husband could not wear them due to foot surgery. The company let me return them with no problem. The shoe itself was wonderful.
